Doublepostban.
It starts off with me feeling relief about the fact that not all music students become soulless shredheads.
I then describe your style - much Sabbath, stoner, doom, and a little classic metal รก la Priest. ...And a tiny little progressive side under the surface.
You can tell that all of you have been headbangers for a long time, because the album sounds very experienced. On the technical and on the creative side.
I like the guitar solos - almost all the time, they are technically good, but more so, much like the influence Iommi, they shine through emotion and feeling.
Vocals are great - most of the time with an angry, rough voice, they never seem forced, artificial or overly dramatic like other's singers. Plus, they're not used to show off a big range. ...Which you have though - from time to time, the listener gets a small dose of it. Again, there's no lack of experience to be heard.
All of you are young, but you really can't tell that most of the time. You have the musical foundation, the experience, the skills - but above all, you have the passion. It's so nice to hear music - metal - and especially doom, that sounds so honest. I believe you every note, and that's a fact that's underestimated by most people. But I think I have a sense for it by now.
My only little complaint is the mix - it's very good actually, you can hear all instruments, but I don't like how the drums sound; especially the snare. It sounds too loose; not like a unity. That's too bad, since the drums are good; always busy and at work, being a big part of the band's feel. Imagine how you could sound with a better sound!
But that's it, really. Finally, I'm sure that we can expect even more from TT. With a more compact sound, the sky is the limit. Already now, you show many other doom and stoner bands where it's at.
